Dr. Mohammed Zubair Qureshi

Dr. Mohammed Zubair Qureshi completed his B. Med Sci (Hons – Biochemistry) at Nottingham University in 1995. He then continued his studies and completed many other qualifications (BMBS, DFFP, DRCOG) and finally completed his MRCGP qualification with Distinction in 2001. He has worked in a number of practices in Lincoln mainly in the field of medicine and medical practice. In addition, Dr Mohammed has also published some works in the field of medicine for the British Journal of General Practice. At present he is a full time GP Principal working in a major city practice with thousands of patients. Moreover he serves on the Executive Board of the Lincoln South Practice Based Commissioning Cluster, he is a member of the Lincolnshire PCT Research Team and he is the General Secretary of the Islamic Association of Lincoln. He has been with Darul Arqam since its inception and has been an active member of the Muslim community of Lincoln administering the Mosque and Jumma prayers and other important activities. He currently resides in Lincoln with his two children.


Asif Mulla

After having committed the Qur’an to memory during his youth, Asif Mulla went on to study BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Programming and graduated with a first class degree. Subsequently he has worked as an analyst programmer for and in partnership with various prestigious companies such as EDS, Microsoft and Pershing (a subsidiary of the Bank of New York). He has worked on a diverse range of projects during this time, the most significant of which includes the government's tax credits system and investment banking solutions. Asif was a core member and co-founder of the Islamic Movement of Awareness and Da’wah (IMAD), and he remains instrumental in helping to arrange and organise events for Darul Arqam Educational Trust. At present, Asif holds the position of Analyst Programmer at Next Ltd, based in Leicestershire.

Khurshed Ahmed

Khurshed recently returned to Leicester after spending almost ten years in Singapore, where he successfully founded and ran his own business in the services industry. His dealings have been primarily with global multinational organisations, particularly in the financial services sector. Prior to this, after graduating from City University London with a BSc (Hons) in Management & Systems Science, he worked in London where he serviced similar corporations on a worldwide basis. He has travelled extensively throughout the world with approximately fifteen years of corporate exposure.

He returned to Leicester to take advantage of the thriving Muslim community which offers a multitude of benefits to his growing family. Khurshed has four children of which three are actively involved in various classes within Darul Arqam Educational Trust.
