| Description
Quranic and Islamic studies play session which aims to instil a love of the book of Allah and Islam by utilising play and stories. Subjects taught are limited to three to include : familiarisation to the Arabic alphabet, memorisation of small Quranic surahs and short adaabs and du’as. Ending finally with a story, adding a interactive and fun element to learning about key Islamic and moral concepts. Arts and crafts will be used wherever appropriate and although the aim is to impart Islamic teachings we aim to keep it light and enjoyable . Arabic Alphabet : In the 1st year the children will cover the Arabic letters with their sounds and recognising their shapes. The Fatha, Dhamma and Kasrah will also be covered on the isolated letters. Hifz : last 10 surahs – although no pressure will be applied. Adaab & Duas : 10 short adaab and duas will be learnt. Stories of the major Prophets (upon all of them be Allah’s peace). The class will be taught by a qualified teacher who has passed the NVQ qualified Children’s Care and Learning Development qualification. Class sizes will be set to a limit of 12 students.
