Our leader, the Prophet of Allah (upon whom be peace) has stated `The best of you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it.` He (upon whom be peace) also stated, `He who reads the Quran and memorises it and deems what it permits as permissible and deems that which it has prohibited as prohibited Allah will enter him in to paradise and enable him to intercede for ten upon whom hellfire was bindingandrsquo;. Memorising the Quran in ones youth is one of the highest forms of worship and a form of worship which will benefit not only the child but also the parents. The late afternoon memorisation school will aim for the students to commit the entire Quran to memory using the trusted traditional methods employed for generations. It will initially start with individual verses thereafter progressing to multiple pages. We plan that children who devote the required commitment can finish memorising the entire Quran in two and a half years, by the grace of Allah. Parents will be given feedback on the progress of the child in monthly comments recorded in designated note books. It will also be open to individuals who wish to revise and refresh their memorisation. Other subjects will also be covered. The Information Sheet available on line details the other subjects.
